Boba Fett – 1/12 scale – Bandai model kit

Today I will present to you, the Boba Fett Model kit by Bandai.

Boba Fett is my first Star Wars model kit but will certainly not be my last one.
He comes in a sleek black box with an amazing artwork and some explanation of the figure on the sides.

Since this guy is a model kit, you have to put it together by yourself, which for some people is a big step, but honestly, it really is worth it.
It really makes you bond with the figure, because you actually put some work in it and makes you understand how the figure works as well. Boba also is an interesting build because of his asymmetrical design. He’s not as repetitive as some other model kits.

This figure comes with what you’d expect from a Boba Fett figure. He comes with his EE-3 carbine rifle and his blaster pistol (which can be holstered). He also has a pair of fisted hands, 1 right hand trigger finger, 1 left hand relaxed/gun supporting hand.

Furthermore, he comes with a simple but practical base with a piece that has a flat surface on one side, and a left foot locking clip on the other.
This clip works really well and makes it even possible for him to stand on one leg.

Mr. Fett is a well proportioned model kit. He actually looks like like a guy in a suit. When you finished building him, he kind of looks a bit unfinished. Mostly because we know the character as being pretty weathered.
However, this can easily be fixed by giving him a good paint job

For some people, this might be  a bit of a hastle. Not everyone wants to put much effort in adding all those details (there really are a lot on this one). But to be completely honest, at first, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to do it as well. But after a few tries, I am quite happy with the end result (he could even be improved).

Boba is a lot of fun to pose. Once you’re done building you are able to get some really striking poses out of him which is technically only possible with a model kit.
it ranges from incredible dynamic poses to believable static poses.

BUT you have to be careful. he comes with a few fragile pieces that might break easily.
A tube on his right elbow (which already broke on mine) and the connection pieces for his bags are made out of a softer, more pliable material, but once you stretch them too much, they break.

Overall, this figure is worth a lot to me.
This Boba Fett model kit is definitely a great addition for any Star Wars fan.
The final product is an amazing resemblance of the original character as seen in The Empire Strikes Back and is in my opinion the best 6 inch/ 1:12 scale Boba figure at the moment.

I give Boba a 9/10

  • visually stunning
  • great range of movement
  • great overall 6 inch figure

  • fragile pieces
  • needs a bit more work after you’re done building
